Default no check on bandwith from bsnl u can get full depends on ur luck

    hi to every one
here is a very great problem of bsnl
that no one is in the department to see about bandwidth according plan
    i think so.....
    i am in ghaziabad
my friend was living near exchange not main exchange
    only area exchange
and i am less then 1 km far from the exchange
    i have home 500 (upto 2mbps)
and he is having home 750ul (256 kbps)

but miracle in bsnl is this that
he is having a speed of download approximate 1.0 to 1.5mbps
he is able to download a movie in 2 hours

and i am getting a speed of 400 kbps
i am able to download that in approximate 4 hours

my line is ok i have checked it by me self 10 to 20 times in 6 months with line man
there is no earthing and i am having the same speed at my laptop in exchange at my port also
and i have complained bt it in main exchange but they ever say please talk to ur exchange and check ur line properly
and when i said to him in ur exchange i am not getting the speed at ur port
    they said
we are leaving full bandwidth to all

does any one get what can be the reason
    and have any solution

but u all should read and should understand that there is no check of speed
ul plans is also getting full speed

it looks like that you have been given a wrong port at exchange with low speeds.speeds are set at ports connected to a particular telephone line at local exchange & if the speed is set at a low level at the port at local exchange you won't get speeds.ask local exchange technical staff to change your port.

those few users were the one who accidently got a 2mbps port connected to their line at local exchange but as soon as local staff realized their mistake it's all over.
