Rep Power: 0 | Hi, I am using a Sony Vaio laptop(XP Home) and a pc(XP Professional). I have a siemens c2110 modem to connect to the internet. One machine is connected to USB port and the other is connected to the ethernet port to access the internet. but i am unable to access the internet at a time in both the systems.Can we connect the two machines at a time to internet without any router? If yes please help me. TIA. |

Rep Power: 12 | whats the make and model of your modem? If you want to connect your laptop wirelessly you would either need a modem with an inbuild wifi router or if your modem doesnt have a wifi router you can buy a wireless router for less then Rs800. Net gear routers are pretty cheap. |

| Platinum Member | sony vio & mac book uses different operating systems so better option would be to use a wireless router.i am not familiar with mac OS X so don't know how networking works.try to go through help to see if there is some option to connect to a windows network. |
