Rep Power: 1 | Hello fellow forumers, I have been a BSNL Broadband user since Jan 08. Well, as you can see in the picture, I have 250 PLAN with 1GB Upload/download limit. I use the internet a lot for Social networking, Blog writing , Torrent downloading, songs and software for my mobile phone . Now as for the first 3 months I was getting Rs 250 + Rs 180+ tax. But for the month of April and may , I have been getting 1000+ , Below is the bill for May. Now you can understand I need a higher plan Like 500c PLAN or the Newer 750UL plus, Now the 500c plan has night unlimited about 6 hours, I don’t have the patience to sit at early morning and download stuff, also I browse a lot of sites like Facebook , stumbleupon , photoree , youtube , myspace , metacafe , ovi , flickr etc and blogs which demand a lot of bandwidth or KB usage . I know that 750UL plus is very slow but with the help of download accelerators and page accelerators, we can manage download speed up to 32 KB/s. I’d rather keep my laptop on and browse freely. Now the speciality of 750UL plus plan is that the telephone monthly rental (which I think BSNL should scrap) which is around Rs 180/month is scrapped and one has to only pay for your internet bill but the no free calls and the calls would be charged to Rs 1 per pulse( But I don’t need those free calls or landline calls, mobile rates are cheaper). I am surely going for the 750UL plus plan I hope you have noticed the snapshot of my bill(MAY). ![]() Now the My Questions are 1. Does the Tax/cess charges are also included in the unlimited Rs 750 PLUS Like the one shown with the red mark??? 2. Does the Rs 750 PLUS UL slow for browsing videos on youtube or other flash video websites??? ( Even if it is so, one can use REALPLAYER 10.5 or higher or other flash video downloadable software and watch the videos). 3. Do you think 750UL plan is bad or has anyone had bad experience with this plan?????. I hope everyone has read the post and answer all 3 of my Questions!!. Thanks |

it depends on what is the quality of streaming video.still it is better to download the video first & then watch.256kbps is not much speed considering that sites like utube mainly caters to people in developed countries which have connections in mbps unlimited.

Rep Power: 2 | right.. you would have to download and then view the video in case of 750ul.. as it would get stuck multiple times if you try watching it.. |

| Platinum Member | yeah so true ........... i am on UL750 plan and i am somehow able to watch videos on youtube or any other site but its really a pain for watching the videos online first you will click the video then wait for loading and then go out and eat something and then you come and see it (it takes lots of time) and there is no guarentee that it will be loaded or not

p/s. Equipment cost is subject to VAT and not Service Tax. Quote:
For audio, the problem is less pronouced because audio does not use as much bandwidth. But you may experience some problems here also. UL750 plan is not bad otherwise. Because it is protecting you from any over usage. You can surf and download as much as you like. You are sacrificing speed for this. But when it comes to downloading movies, you will take at least a good 10~11 hours to download a 700MB file on torrent (asuming you have good seeds).
