    Routing -- Default Gateway

If Enable Automatic Assigned Default Gateway checkbox is selected, this router will accept the first received default gateway assignment from one of the PPPoA, PPPoE or MER/DHCP enabled PVC(s). If the checkbox is not selected, enter the static default gateway AND/OR a WAN interface. Click 'Save/Apply' button to save it.

NOTE: If changing the Automatic Assigned Default Gateway from unselected to selected, You must reboot the router to get the automatic assigned default gateway.

    Question

The only difference i find bet urs & my modem is 'Software Version' and the 'Bootloader (CFE) Version' from the 'Device Info' - Modem Page..

In my Advanced Setup, i have some 8 options.. including the NAT and the Router.. In my LAN settings.. 'Standard Mode' and 'Enable DHCP Server' options are enabled..

    Yes yes yes it worked...

I see a NAT and a dmz option
    NAT -- DMZ Host

The DSL router will forward IP packets from the WAN that do not belong to any of the applications configured in the Virtual Servers table to the DMZ host computer.

Enter the computer's IP address and click "Apply" to activate the DMZ host.

Clear the IP address field and click "Apply" to deactivate the DMZ host.

    DMZ Host IP Address:

if you mean PC's internal IP then in TCP/IP settings if obtain IP automatically is selected your internal IP is dynamic.bsnl provided IP(your actual IP) is dynamic only for home users.

external IP is always dynamic for home users.if you have selected obtain IP automatically in your PC LAN TCP/IP properties then your PC's internal IP is dynamic.anyway if you use only 1 PC connected to modem then it doesn't matter because in almost all cases even if dynamic IP is selected you will get the same IP.

Not okay.. Yellow excl. mark says that ur utorrent port is not supported..
Even after activating ur DMZ, u get the exclamation?? In utorrent did u check whether ur port is forwarded properly?? It should show OK in green..

UPnP is not recommended under normal conditions.to increase speeds you may try enabling encryption for outgoing connections.

What im sure is, his utorrent port is not forwarded..Not that u r getting low speeds.. It depends on ur bandwidth.. If u get green tick mark, ur speeds should be in the range of 30-40kBps..

    cshmech
It is really umfortunate of us having this modem....but still we have to endure it []

I am getting some 20kbps which is not that bad...i could sure use those extra 10kbps...but then i guess it is always too much to expect from bsnl!!

Hey, dont think like that man.. Ive already been with 2 other Services.. From my experience, im telling BSNL is the best ISP u can find in INDIA.. Only thing is they give more speed and they charge more.. thats the one style they never change....

What im bothered is that we hav the same modem, im getting forwarded but urs is not.. For me the DMZ option opened easily.. But for u we gave a separate link.. I think there lies the problem.. Its with ur modem i think.. Keep tryin that DMZ option and see that if it helps.. Or else i suggest u to contact the BSNL Guy and ask his help directly..
