    in the connection settings just change the connection(bridge one)type to pppoe from bridged by editing its properties with rest of the settings same.you will be asked to enter your bsnl username/password(without @dataone.in).also see this guide for port forwarding--
    http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...sl2_141-a.html (configuring port forwarding & accessing advanced options in SIEMENS SL2_141)

    @player
    how about making those pics into a tutorial and having a separate thread for it? you could always link to it..it could be made a sticky thread also (hopefully)..

    If you still have problems, please post screenshots of your WAN page.

    in your 3rd pic enter bsnl username without @dataone.in & uncheck the "dial on demand" & NEVER POST A SCREENSHOT CLEARLY SHOWING YOUR BSNL USERNAME UNTIL YOUR DEFAULT PASSWORD IS NOT PASSWORD.after doing all this click on apply.it will take around a minute or 2 & then reboot modem.after that you should see a connect link below pppoe_35 service.click on connect.

    i meant to say that before posting the image cross out the username/password area with some image editing software like mspaint.in modem you have to use your actual bsnl username/password.also did you follow my suggestions in my previous post.

    this is the post i am talking about i already mentioned that the service name should be this now coming to the problem you are almost there as you have said im messenger gets connected so just do this

    go to control panel>>>network connections

    right click on the connected network i.e. wi-fi or LAN and select properties
    then go to TCP/IP settings and select the option use these DNS servers
    enter these DNS servers

    Primary DNS: 208.67.220.220
    secondary DNS: 208.67.222.222

    and you are ready to go you should now be able to browse the web sites
