get a 256kbps unlimited connection to avoid billing issues later on. I have seen so many people moaning about excess billing and all sorts of other billing issues so i you get a unlimited plan then atleast you can be assured that thats how much you will pay every month and no more.

Which video chatting client are you planning to use?

whats the speed of the internet connection on the other end.. the party you will video chat with?

256kbps shouldnt be a problem with video chatting but if you want some very good quality with no lag atall then go for a 2mbps connection in that case.

for a smooth video chat 256Kbps connection is not enough i prefer you that you go atleast 512kbps which will be enough with no lag at all

If you can spend rupees 1350+taxes for the unlimited plan then go for the UL1350 plus if not so you can go with home 500C+ plan but if you go with this plan be sure to check your usage otherwise you will end up in amazing bills

Since you are new to broadband I wont suggest you to get a plan with limited bandwidth as its just too easy to go over your limits and then get a huge bill next month.

I have been using skype for video aswell and it works just fine with 256kbps connection.
