Thread: Globespan Virata ADSL Modem Troubles

I am using Zebronics Modem with BSNL 500C connection.
My problem is tht i cant increase the speed in utorrent.
im using the port 44682 and it not has upto 5KB speed. i also tried many other ports but still nuthn happenin.
i cant port forward using hyperterminal.....wen i try to login usin it...i enter the username and password then instead of the menu...i get a $ sign.

also i cant make my ip address static.
currently its 192.168.1.3 and as mentioned by just4kix i tried entering 192.168.1.10 in the TCP/IP properties....but then i cnt access the internet....

If u are in PPPoE mode then Make the connection in bridge mode. . Check the status of port in utorrent. Try to do and see the difference

to ensure that your port is opened successfully .. try this port scanner Online Port Scanner | Port Scan | Port Scanning | Portscan Tool .. also when you enter static ip.. enter gateway as 192.168.1.1
