Thread: Broadband modem

Hi all,
Iam planning to take BSNL Broadband , but got confused in selecting the modem for that.
Can anyone plz suggest me which one is the best one to take; luking for a cheaper one too)..
I had seen many reviews abt "dlink glb502t" saying its worst. . .

I suggest you for BSNL Type IV modem. It costs 1800 and supports WIFI / 4 LANs. Good for future enhancements

Ditto. One more vote. And go for outright purchase rather than renting.

Can we get a BSNL type IV modem from market ???
I think these can be purchased from BSNL only.
THe main problem is that the BSNL ppl are telling they dont have amodem if u get one they will arrange the connection.

Its better that you wait for the modem to come otherwise at such a low price i.e. rs1800 you will not be able to get an ADSL modem from any brand from a market i bet you this!!

as this modem is the best value for money!

If you cant wait then dont buy the modem from BSNL as the other types of modem which are available are not upto the mark and if you are going to purchase from a nearby market and from good brands like Linksys,Asus etc then be prepred to shell out atleast 3000 rs for an ADSL modem + inbuilt router
