check and verify your line with BSNL exchange. Don't connect parallels telephones before splitter.

i presume you mean wifi strength.. place your wifi router away from walls, cordless phones, microwaves etc.. place it at a height..you could also try adding some tin cans.. heard it improves..google search for "cantenna" for more info

I have purchased BSNL NIC CARD for Rs. 3400/-
It works fine with full five signal on My second floor
and It works with only 1 signal on my ground floor,
so i bought an usb extension of 5mtr cable
and when i connect through it displays message
usb device not recognized, I called upon Huawei Company
in china why this is happening, they said that device
is MINI USB 1.1 compatible. So, it can not take a long
of 5 mtr.. usb. Is there any antenna to capture signal strenth..
GOD HELPS THOSE WHO HELP THEMSELVES....
THANK YOU..

Booster antennas which are used for wi-fi enabled routers can also be used with such devices. The net resultant gain of the antenna will be increased to 11-15 dB.

Nothing of such sorts are being done by these antennas. The existing antennas are replaced by the booster antennas. Hence the effective transmission range of the wireless device is increased. This inturn results is large coverage. That is how they work.

Are u having CDMA 1x or EVDO signals?
U may not be able to boost CDMA signals as such by using any of the methods.
Only option is to take the device & ur laptop (i assume u r using one) around ur house to find out where the signal is maximum.
Alternatively u can try using a USB extn. cable (<2.5 mtrs) and attach the device at the nearest window

The model number posted by him HUAWEI EC325 is a CDMA2000 1X RTT device which supports only normal CDMA communication.

Default BSNL usb modem EC325 (nic)- slowest possible speed

Hi All!

I have purchased BSNL usb modem EC325 (nic) in bangalore. I have got unlimited post paid plan. Bsnl promised me that I will get a maximum speed up 144 kbs but in reality my download speed is arround 2kbps or so. But surprisingly my signal strength is good (4 bars).

I am using Vista ultimate, pentium dual core in my Lenovo laptop. Browser - is Avant / Mozilla.

Please tell me how to increase the speed either by any additional softwares, drivers or changing internet settings. Also kindly say whether I can use this modem outside bangalore or karnata or not.

- THANKS

I had issues with slow speed in vista as well (not with EC325 though). Have you tired checking your speed on an XP pc?, well try unchecking unwanted protocols from the NIC propteries page. It boosted speed for me. may be it will do the same for you..
