Default any senior member please help-wa3002g4 query

i have configured my modem to "always on".
when the modem is "on" in the free download period of home 500 plan and the computer is scheduled to turn off at 7.50 and the modem still "on" will i be charged for the bytes i have downloaded till that time.

please help me.

only for download and upload, you will be charged.
If your computer is off and your modem is ON, it wont be billed. But in safer side, switch off modem too.

there is a risk of being overcharged if you left the modem on before & after the free time.to be safe restart modem at 2:05AM & 7:55AM.

yes you will be overcharged if your modem is on .. it has to be switched off or rebooted before 8 am.. very bad experience.. dont ask

well if i connect to the net using the userame and pwd then if i schedule to turn off the computer before 8 that is at 7.50 and still the modem is on,will i be charged for that.

anyone please reply.

BSNL billing software is not perfect & will charge those downloads which begin before 2AM or end after 8AM.in pppoe mode modem makes the connection & keep connection alive even if computer is off.so if you turn on the modem at,say,10PM & download starts at 2:05AM bsnl billing software will think this as a continuous connection from 10PM & will charge for download starting from 2:05AM too because it falls in the connection which starts at 10PM.it's not always like this but it is better to take precaution & that's why rebooting of modem is advised for pppoe mode at 2:05AM & 7:55AM.
