Yea Ive heard very often on this forum about good speeds on Bsnl but the trouble really starts when you need customer serviceTheir support doesnt have very good reviews.
PS: I dont have a BSNL connection.
who needs customer care service when INDIABROADBAND is here...........
true..
@player
players_player who's that??related to you??![]()
If everything goes normal then BSNL is the best!!!!!
i have already use bsnl 750 plan but speed is very poor.....maximum speed is 110 kbps pls advice me some solution.
It all depends upon the Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), the distance from the BSNL exchange. whitestar_999 has done a lot of research on this and he would be able to advice you.
witestar said that in your BSNL modem configuration assure that only G.dmt is enable and ADSL2 & ADSL2+ must be disabled as he says that BSNL modems are not built for ADSL2 or +
after applying this then notice in the SNR margin and your line Attenuation as in my case SNR increased!!
wait till whitestar replies he will clear all the doubts
@mani_cafe,if your problem still exists send me a PM.before doing this check in your modem settings that SNR values are above 10 & should be around 28 & 15(downstream & upstream).similarly Line Attn values must not be greater than 30-35 for downstream/local & around 15-20 for upstream/remote.operational mode must be G.dmt not ADSL2.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?
i m using same plan. very good plan.
i m using 50GB/month.

hi mate, can you let me know whether below values are ok ?
Upstream
ADSL Link Speed 512 Kbps (Upstream)
ADSL Link Speed 2048 Kbps (DownStream)
SNR 23 dB (Upstream)
SNR 37.0 dB (DownStream)
CRC 0 (Upstream)
CRC 0 (DownStream)
Attenuation 11.0 dB (Upstream)
Attenuation 17.0 dB (DownStream)
FEC 0 (Upstream)
FEC 0 (DownStream)
HEC(ATM Layer) 0 (Upstream)
HEC(ATM Layer) 0 (DownStream)
Operation Mode is G.DMT
Your values are alright. Are you facing any specific problem.
yes...I was getting around 220KB/s till few days back...
getting around 50-60 KB/s now...:13: I am on 500C+ plan
Im also having the same problem.............
My speeds was 220-240 KBps until 2-3 months back and suddenly it reduced to 170 KBps...........
Im using H500 plan.............
Pls help if u have any solutions...............
Thanks in advance.............
Im using UT300r2u modem.........

SSSSS...same problem.....dropped from 220-230Kbps to 170-180Kbps....wen i checked the line downstream speed itself has dropped from 13200Kbps to 2044Kbps...attiainable rates are still good...but the its getting sync at 2044Kbps...I read that it will bw alright within some days....so any suggestions why BSNL does lik this?
Hmm, according to my research with BSNL wala's in Bangalore, those idiots keep on changing accounts from one server to another, so its the matter of Luck of the customer if he gets his account sticked in good sever and not only that those Bastards change their DNS servers as they wish, so slow speed + disconnections occur normally.
Well i got my modem changed many times, got line checked many times, yet i face disconnection, slow speed, so no more options all we ought to do is "Raaste-pe-uthro, BSNl walo ko kicho-aur-jamke-maro" That's it!!![]()
I found this customer care cell link.............
