To start off....I applied for the Broadband connection in the early stages of its inception and had no news about it for three months...One fine day I get a registered post saying ’’you call us in 5 something days or we will call it off’’ .I call them the next day requesting a connection, to my surprise Within three hours the same day I had BSNL guys at my doorstep with the modem and the few other stuff. I was stunned, amazed, shocked...say what you want about the speed they had it installed.

Now starts the PAIN...

All was done ....now I need three lights on the modem to get it working .The guy who fixed it said that the connection will be up in 2 business day , which I did not believe anyways......10 days passed and all I could see was the POWER Light talking to me. I call the BSNL Broad band helpdesk - one lazy goose picks up the phone and he says he has no idea what I am talking about, he gives an other number and I was re-directed 6 times with no use.

I finally searched the Tel Directory and called the exchange and he gave me a number saying that they just saw a new officer who called herself in charge for BB connection for that exchange, after calling her for two days probably more than a 100 times (no answer) I get to hear a voice, and I was happy that I got to a person who can fix the issue. but you know what , she took my number and said that she will call me back , but me being a lucky guy ..She called me and said that all was set...

I had a ton of problem the following month, they even changed the whole tel line...I mean the cable .But atlast after 2 months of war I WIN.

JOYOUS MOMENT...

Now there is nothing better than the BSNL broad band connection, I have been using it for 6 months + and it has been UP and running without any issues....I haven’t called the BSNL helpdesk since. The download speeds are not less than 32 KBPS which is pretty damn good for a 256KBPS line and its free from 2 AM to 8 AM which is cool for getting done with all ur downloads.

So if u have the patience to go for it, you’ll never regret it!
