Rep Power: 2 | well brother i dont know if u realised towards the bottom of the utorrent u should see a connection with a tick in green colour indicating the result of ur connection and if ur confused about what im talkin then in utorrent select Option->speed guide... and check if ur port is forwarded properly by ur modem... i think ur modem is a SL2_141? |

Rep Power: 5 | if you see the green tick mark, then no need of port forwarding..also if you use a dialer(bridged mode) then too no need of port forwarding in router.. but if you are in ppoe mode then Port Forwarding for the Linksys WAG200G |

| Junior Member | ok.. i have a BSNL Broadband 750... and also a Local Broadband which is not very reliable... but good speed torrents will have around 150 - 200kBps... so.. i am using that for torrents in the night.. i have gone through the port forwarding issue... it says me to gimme some ip address, subnet, DNS and gateway... i understand all the issues.. but for the local broadband I am using, there are already all those setting given... now, when i come to the main page of this port forwarding.., it asks ip address starting with 192.168.__.__ but the IP address i am already working with starts with 10.20.20.__ What should I do now... can u port forward this local broadband also ??? |

Rep Power: 2 | well yes there is another option which u can use though i dont know for sure if it will work and even if it does then it only does for sometime that is until u are downoading and not shutdown utorrent. like it so happened to me with the local broadband as well, when sometimes it showed me green and sometimes yellow thats bcos if the option to randomize ports each time utorrent starts up is not selected in utorrent then u will be left with one port over and over again which inturn is obviously blocked. |

Rep Power: 2 | i think its only for adsl connections which require modems to be used then the port forwarding can be done from ur end otherwise no prt forwarding is possible incase its direct cable broadband |
