    Default BSNL net disconnects

    I am facing very strange problem......after 10-15 my net disconnect....then I have to restart my modem ...sometime have to restart pc.

    I am getting error 815 when I try to connect after connection disconnect.

    which modem do you have?? are you connected via lan or usb?

    Your Modem may be faulty. Try to use your modem from your friend house. if there the problem persist. then you may contact local exchange for the replacement

    after 10-15 mins whether network connection disconnects or its only that you are not able to browse internet ?

    Network Disconnects.....and then when I try to connect ...it shows Error 815

    I have Airtel Beetel 220 bx modem....Can I try this modem......?

    check your network cable for loose fitting, damages.
    Check whether it sits perfectly in RJ45 port in the modem,

    you can definetly go ahead and check the connection.

    What is the password for 192.168.1.1.....I tried admin,admin.....but not working....

    bajaj151 -

    192.168.1.1/main.html

    'admin' and 'password' are the factory default credential for accessing this particular modem. If you are not able to access, i doubt whether it had been changed before.

    try telnet to your modem and use the same account, is it working?
    also try
    admin/admin
    admin/password
    root/password

    goto start > run and type cmd

    then type telnet 192.168.1.1

    tell me the message u get

    Now...its working (I switched on ...it from control panel...windows features)

    But now problem is....

    As I try to type admin....it show....."Connection to host lost.."

    I dont know where you do that in control panel. Ok

    a) Disable your windows firewalls if any
    b) go to start > Run and type cmd
    type ping -t 192.168.1.1

    Tell me whether you got continous ping for atleast 50 replies..

    post screen.

    I have big doubt whether your network cable gives the problem..
