SNR varies with max line speeds supported by a standard like G.dmt.if you select a standard which is theoratically capable of providing very high speeds SNR values will decrease from the actual values you are supposed to get.since ADSL by default always operates at line rates much higher than G.dmt SNR values will decrease & selecting G.dmt will lower line rates & increases your SNR.as for member aytus SNR values decreasing a bit after selecting G.dmt the reason maybe that once connection becomes stable the SNR values usually decrease a little bit after some use.SNR may increase in night by a little bit also.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?
ok thanx
so tell me something should the g.dmt option only be enabled when one is using the dialup connection to the internet? bcos in wireless my line doesnt get disconnected but when i set it to dialup so that wireless can then be accessed, it gets disconnected automatically after sometime.
any answer plz
and i forgot to mention that g.dmt in both cases dialup and wireless as it is obviously default set.
seems to me some setting in modem or your computer/laptop.by default in computer the option of automatically drop line if it is idle for x minutes is selected.similarly in modem too there may be an option like this.you have to select never drop the line or disconnect in such settings.even after doing this i have noticed that in bridge mode especially(where you use windows to connect)connection will drop/disconnect if it is idle for a long time but you can also set the option of automatically reconnect within x seconds to overcome this problem.
