The max speed that you can expect is 256 KB/s. On an average, you would get around 192 KB/s.

In Delhi, you cannot get BSNL. The choice is MTNL. I am not sure about Noida. BSNL service is good when it is working. Their CC is non-existent.

There is no guarantee but on an average the service is usually up and running. BSNL's main problem is their old cables and which are prone to disruptions because of constant digging by other parties. This is not BSNL's fault. On the whole I am satisfied with BSNL and would recommend it.

I will recommend the Home 500 C+ (Combo) plan. But make sure that heavy downloads are restricted to night free time (2 AM to 8 AM). You must also reboot the modem after 2 AM and again before 8 AM else all the usage will be counted in your usage limit.

    I get 190+ KB/s.

The installation time depends upon many factors that are local to your exchange:

    - whether they have the equipment in stock for the modem you asked for
    - how many connections are waiting
    - about 2/3 days time is taken by the NIB people in Bangalore to create your account
