Ya I am using it and i must say its good for me, as I don’t have to pay for it, ya BSNL’s dataone has various TWEAKS in it which once identified by some advanced users can help them use it without geting charged for it.
I know thats not a neww thing for BSNL services, as there has been always various tricks & tweaks available during the start of a new sevice by the Government. I hope and i know by the time comes they will improve on that.
But about the customer-service, the BSNL has always been at the bottom, I must say that no customer service is available for it and many areas, generally small towns. They need to improve on that, but being a government owned makes it so difficult for it to improve on it. Hope some miracle happens.
Also a problem with it is the modem, the modem they are supplying is from HUAWEI, some Chinese firm i guess, The quality of adapter accompanied is so bad, that every second customer has a problem with it. SOme customer’s adapters have been blown up due to inconsistent voltages(I guess chinese people don’t have any idea about it)or may be not working even for few of them.
Also the major drawback in its dataone service is that its dependable on the phone connection. that means if your phone line is dead(that happens all the time), your connection will also be.
There are many other problems with it, I don’t have time to write all of them here, may be next time.
But still its doing good enough for me.
