I presume that you mean using net from 6 AM to 9 AM and you are switching on the modem+PC at 6 AM.

What you must do is to switch off and switch on the modem at 7:55 AM. That way the usage will be treated differently - 6 AM to 7:55 AM will be counted in happy hours (night free) and 7:55 AM to 9 AM will be counted in regular usage.

Failure to restart the modem before 8 AM is liable to counting of entire usage in non-free time.

I beg to differ. There is no need to turn off & on. One of my friend has to two BSNL connections both with nite unltd. since last 1 year. he has rapidshare premeium a/c & dwnlds around 80GB every month during nite. His both modems are always ON & never ever he has faced accounting issue.

it's BSNL we are talking about.we have several users here who have to pay extra because they didn't restart their modem at 2AM & their usage, say, from 1:55-2:15 is counted in chargeable usage.

My connection is in bridge mode I've continued down loading many times after 0800 AM without disconnecting. In my usage details the usage after 0800 Hrs has shown separately.

We could keep arguing till the cows come home. But I agree with whitestar_999 - it is better to be safe than sorry.
