in your modem settings check SNR & Line Attn values.SNR values must be above 10 for smooth connection.
hi budy well if the dsl led blinks then it means its connecting to the server. n if it dc automatically then the signal might be weak or cracked ( crack in wire)
i hope u get it rite

sbmcos i get you dude. btw White how to change the SNR value.
you cant acutally change it directly in your modem.. to check SNR go to http://192.168.1.1 .. enter username and password as admin and go to device info->statistics->ADSL ..Please post your snr output
register compliant at BB office and get your line checked
SNR Margin (dB): 12.9 18.3
Attenuation (dB): 50.5 26.9 Anything wrong with this? this is my results.
U have to approach local exchange to check your line.
Attn values very high.SNR values are low.get your line checked.
try disconnecting all your phones and then reboot modem and check your SNR and see if it increaesa
After removing everything the results are this.
SNR Margin (dB): 6.2 18.2
Attenuation (dB): 50.5 26.9
definitely a line problem.get your line checked by bsnl.
Line problem means any cuts in line or something?
maybe!but it also means bsnl may replace the whole line coming from pole/underground.
yea..line problem!!!
Well Ty guys.. I'm calling those bsnl guys soon!
Hi bro
there are several causes for this type of modem behavious, basically its disconnection issue which shows instability.
To solve this problem first check the physical connection of your broadband and try to connect your broadband modem on main socket without any extension cable. The idle setup for broadband is
main socket>>DSL Filter>>DSL Cable>>Modem>>USB/Ethernet Cable>>Computer
please check that your DSL Cable should not be more than 10 meters and if there is anything else connected on phone line like fax then also sometimes this problem occours so check that too...
if problem is not solved after doing all this then please contact your ISP and ask them for a line test.. its very much possible that there is a problem with your line at exchange or noice margin on your line is not correct.
aadi
yeah i think i will do it right away![]()
