Default Poor SNR due to monsoon rains

Most of the BSNL distribution panels and cable joints are not weather proof.
yesterday I've a frequent disconnection with my BSNL BB. SNR value found very poor and varying between 10-16. I checked the nearest cable termination point of BSNL, from where my connection has taken. The condition was really horrible... a lot of bare joints were hanging and my tele line just twisted with the incoming cable pairs and was rusted too due to rain water/humidity.
Just cleaned the joint my self and covered with insulation tape. Whaa.... SNR shooed to a range between 22-26..
    Now no disconnection problem.....
