    This is your actual speed. 256/8 = 32KB/s which you should get in an typical 750UL connection. and regarding your freequent disconnection, this is may be due to the phone line problem. Contact your local exchange. The speed you got is your luck.

    @gunner89 :

    hello gunner89...i too am having the same problem...i am from coimbatore...i got a bsnl 750UL+ connection on 16th june. i used to get speeds of 70 KB/s in torrents for 2 weeks until july 1st. then my modem got damaged and i changed my modem on july 7th...and now i am getting only speeds of maximum 30 KB/s in torrents...so i dont know if the problem is with the modem or something else.

    where r u from?

    i too think it was my luck.

    i have posted my query as a separate thread...maybe u can take a look there...

    256 kilobits per second (kbps) should give a maximum of 32 kilobytes per second (KBps) - anything more is a bonus. BSNL is accidently giving 512 kbps (64 KBps) speeds for UL750 connections. They must have realized the problem and rectified it.

    I too have the 750 UL + plan and as expected the maximum I can get is 30 KBps (Kilobytes). Actually its more like 24-28 KBps when I'm using torrents and downloading from public trackers.

    Like others have mentioned anything more is a bonus but not to be expected.

    Even weird. This is a today's screen of my bandwidth. BSNL is gone crazy, real crazy

    BSNL called you and asked you whether you wanted a plan change? This is strange as they never do that. But it appears that you plan has been changed as per telephonic marketing and confirmation from your side.

    BSNL will not give free bandwidth. As player said, check your plan. It must have been changed.

    The ID and password they gave says it doesn't exist. Which is strange as it is the id and password i use to login to my broadband connection .
    Maybe my plan has been changed but i never ordered to do that. If they charge me a penny extra i'll take them to court for sure
