hi buddies

i like watching videos on yahoo music
but as u it shows in installment , which is really irritating

plz tell me how to download or record streaming videos from yahoo music
with good quality

i think real player can download streaming videos.

well im not sure about yahoo videos but youtube(google videos) is pretty popular so you should find all those videos in youtube..and there are plenty of ways to download youtube videos.. a google search on that would give you good results

You can search for REPLAY MEDIA CATCHER. A wonderful app for downloading streaming videos.

I find that streaming videos are usually very poor in quality. So I never thought about capturing them. But there are lot of tools/methods available and many are freeware. Just do a google search.

Download realplayer version 11 for free and enjoy downloading streaming video...good thing is tht... u can dwnld all part of a video simulatneously...

after downloading realplayer click the video u want to c and a popup will appear like"download this video in Realplayer" or right click the video and select "download with Realplayer"

ya so true!! real player 11 can download any streaming video without a hassle

i never used real player for dling streamers and i hardly download streaming videos but to my knowledge i knw orbit does a good job. i trust in it.

it can be youtube or yahoo anything...

JUST USE MOZILLA FIREFOX

completly stream da video..

then goto
documents and settings > local settings > choose ur profile > appdata> mozilla >profile > cache >

arrange icons according to size...

now all streamed videos will be saved with a file name which contains random numbers

u need to just open them with video player which can play flv files...

dats it ur done.. copy dat to diff folder ur done..

Yo Dude That **** Rocks Which You Told Us... U Know What? It Saves So Much Time Even Looking Around For Any Software... but i say keep a shortcut on ur desktop to access ur cache folder anytime or to take out the videos which have been cached there.

so step 1

in explorer window goto Tools > Folder Options... > View > Hidden Files And Folders and select "show hidden files and folders." or else u wont be able to see ur LOCAL SETTINGS folder, since it falls under hidden extensions.

step 2

C: > documents and settings > choose ur profile [it cud be admin or ur own name] > local settings > appdata> mozilla > firefox > profiles > .default > cache >

and then go to "View" and select "Details" insted of "Tiles" to list ur cache acording to size so that u know ur video is 3.3 MB.

and then hopefully if u understand all that has been said above u will have ur bestest streaming video collection.

oh yeh and i missed out step 3

step 3 says

right click ur Cache folder and select Send To> Desktop [create shortcut].

and voila now u have all the access to any video u dreamed of.

well i learnt my guiding from the platinum & gold members out here... only after reading one of their tutorials did i realise that everyone wud not be so familiar. and its true... even i get confused with little things if i am completely new to that topic of discussion.

The solution's pretty simple, atleast for guys using firefox. Just intall the video download helper plugin.
Go to -https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3006. Its very small in size.
U dont even need to watch the complete stream/media for dwnlodin. Just select the desired file from the list & then u can even close the window. The download will start & the file would be downloaded just as any other simple download. The files are stored in dwhelper folder by deault.
Detaile instructions are provided in the above referred page. Its really easy to use.
Newayz who in his right mind uses ie now. Just get firefox its the best.

Just instal Internet Download Manager and right click on the page in which the vedeo is playing(dont right click on the vedeo window, and click download any flv content ont the site)

okokok everybody these methods all these methods suck... i mean y do u wanna do so much of beat around the bush for ur download... just instal nothing and download nothing... thts my suggestion!!

downloadhelper doesn't download streaming videos...it can only download videos having specific file size. For downloading streaming content, go for 'HiDownload', 'Replay Capture Suite' or 'WM Recorder'
