Exclamation Unable to activate WLAN on WA1003A

    Hi,

I am using Huawei WA1003A type 2 wireless modem.

I have tried almost every thing to activate wireless. but it did not worked. The led for wireless is alwasys green and stable.
No wireless network found on laptop.

While checking system log of WA1003A, I noticed :

    "AP Driver configuration successful

    AP IS UP

    disabled.

    802.11h is 226: disabled.

    Configuration succeeded !!!"

FOR MORE DETAIL THE ENTIRE LOG IS ATTACHED HEREWITH.

I have also verified that AP is Enabled in Wireless Setup tab.

you can do one thing you can borrow an ADSL router from your friend and then try connecting your laptop to it so that you can make a decision that if there is some problem with the laptop or with the modem

it is not abvisable to do a firmware upgrade........, have you checked by connecting some other ADSL router to your telephone and then see whether you are able to connect to the net or not

since resetting didnt work.. then whats best to do is find out the firmware version of somebody else's modem which is of the same model. So you could probably upgrade to a working firmware..
Users in this form who has WA1003A please do mention the current firmware version you are using

Have you enabled DHCP in the modem ?
In your N81 any menu page to show wireless networks ?

    Just curious:
How you selected this one year old thread to post your query?
