Cool Caution!!! New BSNL Broadband connection seekers...

Hey all u guys out there planning to have a new bsnl broadband connection read this carefully...

Don't take modem from BSNL... buy ur own and use it...

They juz rob u by giving a cheap chinese model with no assurance...

Go to d marketplace and buy a quality one such as linksys or cisco but never-ever trust on bsnl people for modem...

By doing this u'll have 2 benefits over bsnl's modem:

    1. Never have to call BSNL people and increase ur phone bill... as the company or the shopkeeper will provide u d service.

    2. U'll get warranty of 2yrs or above on ur modem.

Remember it is better to listen to an experienced person rather than digging grave four oneself!!!

    i agree with this post..
some of my frnds took BSNL modems.. and even some took wireless modems..
they are still struggling.. no guarantee and nothing...
so, they suggested me to buy on my own...
so, i brought LINKSYS WAG200G ... its a wireless gateway...
i got 3 years guarantee... and its working real gr8.. though it is a bit more cost that the one bsnl gives u..
so, take a wise decision frnds...

u know what this is true tho i have not purchased any modem from bsnl... i decided to take their modem on rent cos i once read somewhere its always better to go for modem on rent cos if it gets spoilt they will have to replace it without charging u a penny.

well honestly its mentioned on the application form that u can purchase the modem outright from bsnl or u can take it on rent so if u take it on rent then u wil have to pay Rs 250 [one time charge] plus 60 bucks rent every month for type 1 modem i.e [non wireless] or 90 Rs rent for Type 2 Modem [wireless]

in some cities like mine bsnl only give option of purchasing modem from them & no rented modems.if you insist on rented modem you may never even get a connection.

BSNL has published in their website that any one can purchage the modem from them or can purchage it from outside or BSNL modem can be taken as rent basis. And it is published in the national website of BSNL. So any where in India, if BSNL refuses to provide Modem on rent then the door for the hon'ble court is open to all Indian citizen. I think. If one do not want to go for such disturbance than that another thing.
