Default Request help regarding BSNL broadband

    Hello friends!

Very recently I had a BSNL broadband connection in Hyderabad. The modem provided by BSNL is UTstarcom WKT54G. When I am switching on the modem I am able to connect to the net with a normal speed, that is at the speed of ordinary internet connection. After some time the speed is totally zero, the internet explorer shows page can not be displayed. If I refresh (using repair) the connection again the net starts and the same thing is repeated. The Yellow light and one Green light are continously glowing and the Green light at internet is continuously blinking. So I here with request for help in solving my proble as BSNL people in my exchange doesn't have much knowledge.

    Default unable to understand

    Fristly thanks for a response.

Please don't mind, I did not understand the things you are saying. I am totally new to BSNL Broadband. When I open 192.168.1.1 and entered admin/admin the following things are coming. I searched a lot but unable to find SNR values and Line Attn values. Please tell me in detail.

The things that are available are,
    Device Info
    Advanced Setup
    Wireless
    Diagnostics
    Management.

    Exclamation Finding SNR & Attenuation

Well in the above picture u have to select Device Info > Statistics > ADSL

on the right side u shud be able to see SNR Margin and the Attenuation values.

then u can let us know what the values are [downstream/upstream] by posting it out here.

I think you can test your modem first. Go to your friend house where the broadband is working. and try to use your modem there. If the problem remains same, then go for a change of modem
