Default PPPoE and BRIDGE Mode

Which is better?
I understood the following (if I am wrong plz correct)
PPPoE
(1) PPPoE modem is an always connected mode.(userid and password stored in modem)
(2) For getting good speed with torrents ports are required to be forwarded.
(3) For connecting multiple PCs modem must be in PPPoE mode.
(4) Telenet scripts are required for scheduled automatic booting and re booting.
(5) More secured.

Bridge mode
(1) Connects to net through dialer by entering userid and password
(2) No need of port forwarding for torrents as all ports are open
(3) Telenet scripts are not required for scheduled downloads.
(4) Strong firewalls required as as all ports r open.

Anything more?????

Plz clear following also
(1) Which is the better choice in terms of connectivity and SNR?
(2) Any difference in bandwidth / browsing speed?

Seems to me that both options have their equal weightage and would solely depend on a persons choice but preferably i wud suggest pppoe since i think it also has less chances of disconnecting more frequently.

You already put the differences, pros/cons beautifully. You asked:

Quote:
(1) Which is the better choice in terms of connectivity and SNR?
There is no difference. Connectivity, SNR, Line Attenutation, etc. are all depending upon your ISP, infrastructure, cabling, modem itself, etc.

(2) Any difference in bandwidth / browsing speed?
No.
