    Hello
I too subscribed to the bsnl Broadband 500C+.My problem is I hav been consistently charged for the usage that falls in the 2-8AM period...

The BSNL ppl say they cant do anything abt it...

Y shld I pay extra while I am in a free plan...Its all too frustrating.

The bluntly say pay the bill.Today I see that BSNL has removed all Night browsing details...The entire format is changed...I dont know from wer to show back up

I feel its all wrong.Plz tell me whom to complain this to.From wer should I get my usage details???the present sites are all shut/in upgradation mode

i suspect 2-8 am unlimited usage has been removed without any prior notification.
i have droped a letter to G.Selvam (Broadband nodal officer)
    awaiting for the responce.

    anyway.. my point is..

im using it for the past 2-3 days only as it got activated in feb. i see to it that i start my downloads at around 3am and end then about 5-10 mins before 8.

still afterwards when i check my account usage.. the session is shown as it started at the right time.. but the end time is 15-20 mins past 8.

hence in those 20 mins it shows the night exceeding usage to cross 50 mb or so... if this continues i am bound to cross my 1.5 gb... and pay extra although i stop my downloads well within the stipulated time of 2-8.. and then shut my pc down !

has anyone else experienced this? i hope the admins have a solution to this. or am i going wrong somewhere.. please guide.

    thanks!

Unhappy I think only you guys can help me

i am in Home 500C plan(Rs.562 including tax), which gives free net usage of 1.5gb plus 2-8am free usage.

Since i was at home for the entire month of october, i downloaded more movies using u-torrent scheduled from 2-8 am. The usage has never crossed this limit though i download few movies. This month got the bill as Rs.2339 . When i downloaded the excel sheet for usage of last month(october), I found legitimate excess usage for some Rs.950-1100 plus 562(regular).

Apart from this, I have noted that the usage metering has stopped only by 2.10-2:17am(not 2am) for many days i downloaded movies. The torrent downloading had started by 2am by the scheduler. The average torrent download speed comes about 200-206 kbps. When i calculated the excess billing time under those downloads it comes about 60-70minutes. This shows an excess billing of Rs.660+67(tax @10.2%)=Rs.727.

Now my concern is, how can i put forth this excess billing issue since I have used more than the limit. To whom can I speak about this?? Is it possible to get any positive response. I am ready to share the marked excel sheet for reference.
(Now our landline connection itself is endangered as we mainly use it for internet)

I have gone though a large sum of threads here in this forum and valuable information shared by great knowledged persons. I sincerely hope i get a way to handle this problem.

First talk to the accounts officer. If no use, try Nodal officer or Appellate authority. Address and phone no behind your bill.

    @skbkumar
Do you know that you have to disconnect and reconnect after 2 am for the free usage to start at 2 am? I think you were connected to the internet before 2 am and so got billed for usage upto 2.17 am. Some connections require the modem to be restarted (PPOE - Always ON mode) after 2 am.

BSNL UL 750 Plans has speed of 256Kbps hence download speed is 256/8 = 32 Kbps and hence what speed you get is proper and no need to complain

I too use UL 750. Getting the same speed. As mentioned above 256 kbps = 32 KBps. The speed you are getting is normal.
