I don't think that except BIOS and LAN wakeup there is a way around to boot your computer automatically at specific time.

there is a way to start the comp at a specific time without u being around... but thats only for the comp... i dont know how to startup modems and shit like that.

get this software called Power Shutdown. it helps to put the computer in hibernate mode and wake it up from hibernation automatically but only thing is ur power to the computer has to be on... including power to ur modem.

no need for any other software.windows task scheduler itself has an option of waking up computer from hibernation/standby mode to do a particular task.

I second that.. why does anyone need this script when your computers OS already has one??

I appreciate the thread starts intentions but in my opinion yu are trying to do something which has already been done and your efforts would go to waste unless your script does something in addition to what windows can already do.

Thanks Admin for your comments

Sometimes there are things which are very difficult for a common person to perform so this Software lets them automatically dial the internet connection, start the downloading software and schedule the shutdown at the time configured by user. All this is done automatically when computer starts in time set by user but computer has to be automatically started from BIOS now. But if I could build the code to make the computer start also at configure time without hassle of BIOS then it will be more convinient for users.

Hey People out there a new addon to DFBA, "Rdownloader v1.0" is to be released on August 1,2008. It will (along with DFBA v1.0) let you download data from web links during free-bandwidth night time.
