Default How to use Night Time Free Bandwidth efficiently

Do you have to wake up at night to start your download (i.e to use your night time free bandwidth) and feel uneasy then here is the solution - DFBA v1.0.

DFBA v1.0 (Dataone Free-Bandwidth Automation), which allows you to automatically run download software like uTorrent, Bittorrent, IDM etc. and lets you automatically shut your computer after it at specified time. So it helps you use your night time free bandwidth that too without any hassles. Moreover it is free and just requires an ATX computer and Auto power option in Bios (which is common in computers after 2002).

You can read about DFBA in detail at : RickSoft.co.nr

Please send your comments or feedback through support page of the site to let me improve the software.

"Player" could you please let us know your firefox version because in firefox version 3 there is extra security which may create problem or it might be some plugin.

I am sorting out the problem (although the server is safe as I have been using it for almost a year) by using another server and I think problem will be solved by 5:30 PM (IST).

@saesms wants to know if your software can restart modem because for those using modem in pppoe mode(always on)restarting modem is important unlike bridge mode where you can simply disconnect/reconnect within windows.

My attempts to download the software 5-6 times have failed using ie7. With firefox 3 the site opens and dowlaods 12.4kb zip file which is useless as it says not a valid archive. I assume that it will work with MTNL also...

Brightstar I don't know what is the problem but I am using Internet Download Manager and it is downloading just fine for me and one of the fellow "poolboyz" is reporting that the software is downloaded without problem with FF 3.0 but when I download with IE 7 I am getting problem also. So I will look into the matter. Thanks for your valuable feedback.

Moreover, this software can work with any Dialup type Broadband. (i.e it will not work with always on type configurations - in future I will think of creating a software with that feature)

The interesting thing is that the publisher saying that the download of the software has some problem, But I downloaded it and I do not face any problem regarding attack or archive fails. though I am in 1350 connection and there is no need of such software still. And after downloading I post the feedback here. But due to Hack attemt to this webserver my post was deleted

Thanks robert_0007 but there was a little problem on servers that made the download doesn't complete with IE & FF. (Now attacking server was not problem from my side but a problem of FF3.0 due to high security measures)

for pppoe you have to use telnet script to reboot your modem & different modems will require slightly different reboot script.

Dialup hereby doesn't mean simple dialup it means the type of account in which you have got to put username and password from windows every time to connect to broadband 7 by PPPoE I mean the type of account in which username and password are directly configured into the modem so that whenever you switch on modem you get connected to net.

I don't think that except BIOS and LAN wakeup there is a way around to boot your computer automatically at specific time.

there is a way to start the comp at a specific time without u being around... but thats only for the comp... i dont know how to startup modems and **** like that.

get this software called Power Shutdown. it helps to put the computer in hibernate mode and wake it up from hibernation automatically but only thing is ur power to the computer has to be on... including power to ur modem.

no need for any other software.windows task scheduler itself has an option of waking up computer from hibernation/standby mode to do a particular task.

I second that.. why does anyone need this script when your computers OS already has one??

I appreciate the thread starts intentions but in my opinion yu are trying to do something which has already been done and your efforts would go to waste unless your script does something in addition to what windows can already do.

    Thanks Admin for your comments

Sometimes there are things which are very difficult for a common person to perform so this Software lets them automatically dial the internet connection, start the downloading software and schedule the shutdown at the time configured by user. All this is done automatically when computer starts in time set by user but computer has to be automatically started from BIOS now. But if I could build the code to make the computer start also at configure time without hassle of BIOS then it will be more convinient for users.
