    Default Accessing WiFi on WA3002G4

    Hello All,

I was given WA3002G4 modem this monday as I subscribed for 500C+ plan of BSNL Broadband. The configuration has been set to Dial Up mode and internet works quite well on my desktop.
However, I'm not able to access the internet through my laptop's WiFi. Although it connects to the network, it doesn't connect to the internet. I've enabled a WEP key of 64-bit for protection.
    Please help me resolve this.

    Thanks,
    Mahidhar

What is the OS on your Laptop? Did it ask you for the WEP key when you tried to connect.

Try one step at a time:

    - after disabling wireless security try to connect
    - if successful, enable wireless security.
    - Try WPA-PSK with TKIP, if WEP does not work

I think you want to use both the system at a time. If I am true then you will get a 676 errror saying that phone line busy. I think switch to ppoe mode. that will serve your purpose

    Well, I tried this,

    1. Connect to the Wireless Network which connects just to the router and not to the Internet.
    2. Create a broadband connection which connects to the internet by opening the WAN mimiport (PPPoE) when I punch in the Username and Password pertaining to the account.

This way it works and is quite fast.

However, I'm unable to connect to the internet nor make a successful connection from my desktop. "This line is busy" is what I see when I try to connect.

    I'm pasting my ipconfig below:

the method you used is bridged mode which works with only 1 pc at a time.. if you want multiple pcs to access the internet at the same time then you need to configure your modem in ppoe mode..

I am in a bit of dilemma in following the "WA3002-g1 (Type-II) ADSL MODEM MULTIUSER CONFIGURATION". I have setup a connection in which, if I set the IP address to 192.168.1.10, the connection doesn't go through and says that the particular IP address was rejected. And, when is that I should plug-out the RJ11 from the modem? After establishing the connection or before. If it's before, then I'm afraid I can't establish connection to 192.168.1.1.

Since the instructions in the link were for WA3002G1, will they hold good for WA3002G4?
