I had applied BSNL Broadband connection in the month of April 2005 (Home 500)which I finally got it a week back i.e. in June 2005.

BSNL utilised my Rs.3,100 for 3 months without any interest. After several calls made to them and personal followups Nagpur’s Khamla Telephone exchange people turned up to install the broadband.

The performance of broadband is simply WOW!!!

After working on dialups for so many years, this looks like an express highway. I get excellent download speed and the web pages open up very fast. The problem I face while uploading. It is terrible. It took 1 hour to upload 10 files of 2KB each on my FTP server. I finally uploaded it within 2 minutes by using my old dialup connection. I think they will rectify this problem as this is only an initial stage.

BSNL has been very kind enough to reduce the installation fees from Rs. 500 to Rs. 250. Hope they will refund my Rs. 250 back which they took 3 months and did not install anything. The model security deposit has also been made refundable.

To conclude for Rs. 500 you cannot have a better choice than BSNL Broadband.
