Default Don't finger the BSNL supplied modems .

BSNL supplies poor quality modems and if u try to finger it may get damaged.
Don't try to reset the modem frequently.
Don't remove and insert USB and RJ 45connectors when modem is powered.
Don't try to configure the modem by using the wizard supplied by BSNL ( modem CD)

Try to avoid using USB port if possible.

No Doubt some bsnl modems are very delicate but that wud only be ur badluck like take for example my modem only wireless works. the four ethernet ports on it dont work since the time it had been delivered. and im talking about the 2nd modem replace.

in the first modem initially all four ethernet ports were working, and then one day no ports working and that too without even fingering tha damn thing. so i had to run around to get my modem replaced. and the 2nd time when it does get replaced i wasnt in the house and this time he tells me shud i install it and check if everything works. and i like a fool thinking that everything wud be ok told him over mobile phone [when he called] that i wud do the setup and not to worry since i know how to configure it!! and then when im back to connect it the second modem has no ports working from the very begining.HE HE HE!!

Only Wireless was working!!
