    Default fluctuating speed

am using homeplan 250,2mbps connection.i get speeds like 47kbps from direct downloads and sometimes get speeds of range of 200 kbps when downloading from torrents.why is that? am i supposed to get speeds of the range of 200 kbps from direct downloads as well? also what average speeds should i get from direct downloads?i know my phone line is in good condition because i used to get around 30 kbps when i had 750 UL connection that's roughly 250 kbps from a 256 kbps connection.when i tested my speed from the BSNL website speed test i got a DL speed of 1.31 MBps.is that good for a 2 MBps connection.

bsnl never says u will get 2mbps ok, its upto 2 mbps, depending on the server load. about downloads every dw manager has some features like finding the best source ie shortest or fastest. thats y u get 200kb/sc, 1.3 mbps is ok i get around 1.56 1.43 1. 23 mbps, so it really doesnt matter that much,

Yes I agree with sb21pro. Bsnl says that you will get from 256 to 2mbps in a 250 plan & it is also written that 2 mbps will be given where technically feasible. So that is normal. Wel you may get 200kbps or more from direct download also.
