    Default BSNL DNS issue..???

Recently my BSNL no. got changed..they reconfigured my a/c at their end & reset the password.

After this change I am not able to open microsoft.com, yahoo.com, download.com etc. Rest all sites are ok. I tried different DNS as I thought this might be some DNS related issue but still same problem. I called their so called CC.
Their answer: ur line is OK & ur a/c is ok. NO issues at our end, chk ur "rooooooter".

With the same DNS settings my laptop works from my office & 2-3 other places.

Any suggestion?? Any idea wat cud be wrong...I know 99% it is BSNL problem..stilllll.............!!!!!!!!!!

It is seen in my friend case also. Even both bridge mode and ppoe mode is being tested with open DNS. But the situation remains unalterd. Ultimately I have formated the hard disc drive of my friends PC to solve the problem. Actual technical reason is still not known

change MTU settings in your modem(usually in LAN settings).try various values from 1500(default) or 1492 to 1450.try 1460,1452 etc.

I think it is not the BSNL problem. This is due to a trojan attack. I was facing the same problem a few minutes earlier. But finaly I got the solution. This virus is detected by the windows Live one care software. Download it from microsoft site. It will solve your problem.
