My problem is very high u/l + d/l is recorded. I called local BSNL officer in charge of broadband but he expressed his inability to help me.
I checked my account on the BSNL Broadband Account Management site and compared it with the Nettracker values. Net tracker values are much higher than on the BSNL site.
A session which involves checking the mail and downloading a few text messages sets me back by 5 - 10 Mb as recorded by Nettracker.
The highest recorded as shown on the BSNL site was u/l + d/l of 254 Mb in 169 minutes.
Neither am I watching lots of videos nor down loading too many images, playing online games nor other such files. I have a proprietory virus guard and a fire installed, though for a while for a few days the fire wall was disabled.
I checked with the person who services my PC, he too is not very sure what can be done. He suggested that I format my hard disk.
Will any body suggest remedies? The resultant bills are burning a hole in my pocket.
