broadband connection stops after some time..may b 3 hrs or 7 hrs...automatically....not able to ping anything!!!
cannot even connect to the modem then..
PC restart is of no use.........
The only solution is to restart modem to get it working again......

Usual info reqd: SNR ATTN/Line speed/Mod selected.
    If Ok , not reqd.
Change Mod to GDMT or adsl1
( In your router may be
    G.DMT is adsl1
    G.DMT.bis is adsl2
    G.DMT.bisplus is adsl2+ )
Para two: 1Since it works for about 3 hours to 7 hours,
your line conditions are Ok , I feel.
2.Probably the Dynamic IP is getting changed
    frequently in your place.
    Use openDNS 208.67.220.220. and 208.67.222.222
( both in Router and TCP/IP properties).
3.Ensure, other applications not required are unchecked from Startup.
( memory release) Except AV and firewall and which ever appln you use. .

well, the dyanamis IP should not be prob since I am using static ip address and I've also switched to open DNS servers. The same prob erupts after continuously using the modem for 7-10 hrs and that too not all the times...its random..and I now realise that its probably due to heating up of modem....for if I turn it off(modem) for 15-25 mins..its works fine for another 6-7 hrs.......
