Hi,
Would like to know which method is better Always on or dial up ..?
always on connection is better because you are charged according to amount of data transfer.but in dial up connection you are charged according to how long you are connected to the internet.
i tink by dial up he means bb dialup.
well depends on your use
the performance is same iin both
if ur using it in home with limited person accessing net in ur home......then always on is best.......with dial up u can have a password & can ristrict ppl to which u dont wanna to allow use BB
i prefer always on
If you wish multiple machines to connect to the internet at the same time and do not want to have one machine acting as gateway (using Internet Connection Sharing) then "Always On (PPPoE)" is the only option.
Another advantage of "Always On" method is that the modem/router takes care of dialing and establishing connection. This is a good option if you are experiencing disconnections from time to time.
But if you have only one machine, and you do not want hassles of port forwarding, etc., then Bridge Mode with dialer is a better option.
As far as usage is concerned it makes no difference.
