Thread: dsl light not working

Hi people,

After three months of application i received my modem... on switchin git on i realize that the dsl light is not working....
made several complaints to customer care...finally yday received a message saying your circuit has been restored...what does this mean...i assumed that dsl light should have started....went bck home and checked still not working...what can i do next???

may be the dsl link LED is bad. next time switch on modem wait for 3 min, then connect.
try this might work.

but i do not think so that is the problem ...coz initally the dsl light blinks for a second and then after that it just goes off an no matte rhow long the modem is on it does not come bak...

try reset

wanted to know how do i reset the modem....i have a siemens SL2-141 modem given by BSNL... Further, is reastarting equivalent to resetting the modem>??

no restarting is like restarting a computer.. resetting is like formatting a computer..
to reset you should find a reset button or reset hole somewhere in your router..

well before reset try this- try a different spliter- try another modem
if it works then ur modem is down-if it dosnt then there is a prob with the link from the bsnl -call em up and abuse them real well, that shd wotk

same is d prob with me,they told me that my modem is faulty& replcaed.

2 check weither it's problem in u r line or modem, connect a bsnl working modem (friends)and see if DSL is stable.If dsl is stable then it's problem with u r modem
