yesterday and today, the bbBSNL - Broadband Account Management
is not opening.
when i enter portal id and password(saved in firefox browser) it says invalid username/password. what should i do?
It is working from IE.
i checked ie also it says invalid username/password.
i am 100% sure that i didn't change anything.
so is this a temporary problem? or should i complain to bsnl?
possible..better wait..
even i am getting the invalid username/password message.but it is working fine in the shaplus bandwidth meter.wonder what the problem may be.
maybe its a common problem. i was scared that someone might have hacked my account?
i think we need to wait for a day or two.
portal not working is a common problem. but for me the portal opens but when i click login it says invalid username/password. so i am a bit concerned!hmy:

still the portal says invalid username/password.
try the new portal BSNL Portal
i tried it it didn't work. which id should we use portal id or broadband id? i tried both it didn't work!
since it says invalid username password(for the past 4 days) i'll call bsnl tomorrow!
Portal is working. I just check 5 mins ago.
i didn't say its not working. it says invalid username/password.
i called bsnl today. they said they wiil check and reply tomorrow.
anyway if someone had found my portal id/password and changed it what use is it for them? they cannot possibly do anything with it.
so i don't think they connect(assuming they also hacked my broadband id and password) using my account(moreover my ip starts with 117.xx so i think its portbinded and hence they can't possibly connect).
anyway i still can connect and browse net. can they connect to the net while i'm online.i don't think two connections r possible using same account?
so what r your views?
no they cant use your account.also its mostly portbinded.Dont worry mate..!!
i'm not worrying i just wanted to know.
let it be not portbinded and assume they have my bb id/password.
so when i'm online can they connect using my account?
if person is in another city then i don't think he can connect using your account when you are online.also don't worry because bsnl's new portal also shows MAC address in front of every entry & if someone else used your account his MAC address will be recorded by bsnl & will be shown in portal too so it's very easy for bsnl to check if someone else has used your account.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?
today the bsnl guy rectified the problem. he said that the password has been changed. he reset the password and now iam able to see my usage. its normal. he also confirmed that it is portbinded and certainly no chance for anyone using my account!
but still i don't know how my password was changed? it should have been some defect.
why no reply to my previous post?
i also have another question.
the bsnl guy also said not to change my bb password and portal password(from default) since it causes many problems. is it safe to have default password or should i change?
well it depends as some users faced problems when they changed password.when i changed my password i made sure that portal was working fine & opening without any problems.i used an alphanumeric password(alphabets & numbers)& also checked it again as soon as i closed the portal.i again login & then again logoff.i tried login with both default password & changed password in next 5 min & make sure that finally i was only able to login with changed password.also it's wise to change broadband password first successfully & then portal password so that if something goes wrong you have at least 1 working password.
In case of port binded connection, you can leave the password to the default. There is no worry of hacking.
But you should change your portal password definitely. Someone may just change your BB password just to make your life miserable (at least for some time).
