Default I still await my Username and Password for my broadband connection.

    I am a resident of 2165 Sector 46 Gurgaon, Haryana. ( Ph No. 0124-25*****)
I had appled for a BSNL Broadband Connection + New Phone line in the first week of July, 2008.

I have got the modem and other accessories required to access internet.
But I haven't recieved my Username and password for my telephone no: 0124-25*****

I have called the exchange on this number: 0124-2225225 numerous number of times.
Either no one picks up the call or the number is simply busy for hours.
Once or twice I get to talk to them, I have been kept on hold for half-an hour without any outcome.

After 5 weeks of my application, I still await my Username and Password for my broadband connection.

Trying going to the telephone exchange in person and asking for the Broadband person?

Even after all these attempts, you experience failure, Google for "Consumer online resources & empowerment center" (I can't type in the link here) and post your complaint.

Phone call and sweet talk wont help. You have to go to their office yourself. Just talk like a professional that you want your connection and talk with the right person i.e. the AOTR . I had to apply twice before getting my connection.

    yeah still waiting ..

hey got a lil doubt tho ..

I've got a Type-II modem and wanted to know if I connect my laptops thru the wi-fi connection, will it pick the DNS settings automatically from the router or do I need to type in the DNS ips in wireless adapter properties ????

if you use modem in pppoe mde(in which you get connected by just turning on the modem)then no need to configure dns settings on your laptop.you have to do this only if you use bridge mode(in which you use windows to connect).
