"PLEASE CONFIGURE CPEs IN PPPOE MODE ONLY WITH CORRECT USER ID AND PASSWORD TO AVOID 676/678/691 ERRORS FOR MORE DETAILS PLEASE LOG ON TO UTSTARCOM Technical Support Center OR www.intranet.bsnl.co.in"

The error numbers mentioned I don't get. But I do get errors and disconnections sometimes, which I, tolerate, because, it doen't affect me much. The error number I get is 718. But if I reconnect again, it connects. My modem is ut300r2u. Can we change our modem ourself without informing BSNL? I plan to change it to Dlink.
