guys,, recently got a wifi bsnl connection.. i have wifi,, i need to configure ma wifi like if anyone else wid his lap top wanna access ma wifi he has to put password,, pl tell me how to do tht.. i m usin vista ultimate n ZTE dsl router,,i tried going typin 192.168.1.1 goin wireless--->security-->.. now wat ot change.. where,,, tell me proper option

bro

you just need to go to your routers gateway address and then check wireless options.. in wireless options you need to chage your wireless security settings to secure wireless by using WEP or WPA key...

i went to wireless-> ,, then inside tht,,, security->,, ere as u said i ve to make secure connection,,,right now,, its cominn on ma screen as follows,,,
NETWORK AUTHENTICATION - OPEN
WEP ENCRYPTION - DISABLED...

now ere as u said with wep or wpa i have to make secure,,, but loads of options are there,, tell me which to select..

like in network authentication options are
1. shared
2. 802.1x
3. WPA
4. WPA-PSK
5. WPA2
6. WPA2-PSK
7. MIXED WPA/WPA2
8. MIXED WPA2/WPA-PSK

and in wep encription ----enable or disable...
pl tell me which option to select n then what to fill in further option,,, i mean once i select network authentication WPA.. then its akin wpa group rekey interval, radius server ip address, radius port , radius key and wpa encryption,, i don knw which and how to select where in above option kindly pl tell me detailed options,, filling.. hope u can help me out,, thanks in advance,,hmy:
