    alright dont worry bro.. what is your BB speed right now.. which plan are you using coz DB level depends upon the line rate...

    i'm using home 500 combo plan....... i get download speed of 200-250 kbps

    according to me your db level should be somewhere between 30-34db... but just4kix is better person to say about this as he is using BSNL and i m sify customer...

    Does it happen exactly after half an hour? Then it may be a setting in the modem. BTW, how do you connect to internet? Do you dial a connection or does the modem connect automatically.

    I was facing frequent disconnections. But I had the line checked and there was a fault. It has now been corrected and is not happening now.

    yes it automatically disconnects for every half an hour i have changed the properties of the connection and IE settings but it dissconnects..

    few dys back if keep download with utorrent it will disconnecte when system is idle..so i have stopped using torent for bigger file..

    my modem is not automatically configured .. i will dial in PPPOE mode

    Check the PPP settings - it may be set to something like "disconnect if idle for nn minutes". Change the setting to "always on"

    the problem is due to low SNR rate. so now working fine

    i m not sure why this SNR keeps on playing with happiness and line goes instable.. working and reading about this from long time but still confused... []
