Thread: Azureus vuze

Hi forum users

I recently bought a linksys WAG200g adsl router and a home 1000 plan from bsnl. I initially had a unlimited 750 home plan that gave me d/l speeds of 30KBPS which was good. Now this home 1000 plan gives me speeds of hardly 50 to 100 KBPS. I have frds who have a home 500 plan who get better speeds upto 200KBPS. I tried speedtest.net the d/l speed appears as 1416 KBPS. I have a fully updated vista, no added firewall and a avast av program. Please help.............I connect using wireless and by signal strength is excellent and the above mentioned d/l speeds are with azureus vuze 3.1.1

your download speed in azureus vuze 3.1.1 depends hugely upon the number of seeds and peers and leechers.if you are downloading a very popular file with huge number of seeds the speed will easily reach 200 kbps and above on your connection plan.try to download files with many seeds as possible.as for the speed test results-don't rely on it,it's no way close to what your connection can actually achieve.also make sure your ports are open(forwarded).
