Unhappy having problems with disconnection by network attacks from different TCP/IP.

    hi brothers,
i am having a massive problem in keeping my connection alive & working in XP Pro SP2.
Although it connects as bread n butter,no problem in that,
but after connected for a while, surfing the net(5 minutes to 30 minutes).
    The connection hangs.
First i thought that i had some malware or network trojans but scanned my Laptop & desktop both from Kaspersky 2009 Internet Security,
    Norton Internet security 360(both licensed).
Both of them say No Threats detected inspite of being updated.

It is a Network Attack named
"DCOM Exploit from IP 202.55.231.117, port 3208"
shows up at the taskbar near where the time is shown.

After that, my Windows XP theme changes to Windows classic automatically, furthermore my soundcard is not detected.
The BSNL dialing connection in Network Connections of the control panel shows "connected" but actually it is not.

When a reboot is done, the system is again fine until it connects to the net again and after almost 10 minutes, the whole thing goes on again.

I have been frustrated by this.
Forced to install Vista (Ultimate x86)
This does not come in Vista, but i dont wanna use Vista.

Please buddies, if anyone of you have ever encountered this kind of worst nightmared problem, please reply me.

    Thumbs up

The IP is not your internet provider, they are like you, a user on your
    ISP's broadband.
If you 'whois' your own ip address it will not resolve to more than "Shaw
    cable" either
That user is infected and attacking other accessible nodes.
That log entry shows at least that your prevention strategy is working.
either upgrade windows firewall to one that works in both directions, or
install a nat router between the cable modem and pc as earlier directed to
    provide hardware protection.

    Hope this helps

DCOM exploit right?intall SP3 & if you still get the error msg block all incoming/outgoing traffic on port no. shown in error message using firewall(preferably kaspersky).also don't use 2 different antiviruses/firewall on same computer.
