| Platinum Member | you need a tiny bit of your upstream to send an acknowledgment for each received data packet.if you set upload to maximum then the ongoing download will obviously get affected because incoming packets won't arrive with same speed if acknowlegment for received packets is send at very low speeds.you can see this yourself.set uTorrent to upload at 60KBps & then try downloading anything using a download manager like IDM.you will see the speeds are lesser than when you exit uTorrent.
