    Default speed potential

whats the maximum possible achievable speeds on the existing copper BSNL land lines, and what is stopping BSNL in providing higher speeds.is it some physical barrier or is it just money or political/legal barrier.

also for what speeds the existing ADSL routers/modems we are using are built for?

I got an information in the BSNL site that their server are at 2.5GB/s speed. I think they are giving 8MB/s as their highest speed to minimise the network conjestion.
