Default irregularity in broadband usage meter

i am on 500 + plan...yesterday i logged in by 12..43 am yesterday and switched off after half an hour.............logged back by 2.15 am.......started resuimg my torrent downloads.............. reset modem by 4.30 or so.... now today when i checked my usage..........i got shocked.........they have counted my usage as from 12.43 to 2.15 .......and upload and download combines 810 mb............here is the screen shot.

then you can call them and tell them right away that its a problem at BSNL end and you are not responsible for this... they may consider this...

this is really sad that BSNL claims as best ISP in India but still such kind of stupid things...

i am answering your same post 2nd time here.did you restart your modem at 2:15AM or you simply turned off your PC while modem was still on at 1:15AM?as you said you did restart modem at 4:15AM & that was recorded correctly by portal so i think you didn't restarted your modem at 2:15AM because you did then you wouldn't be facing this problem.

whitestar is correct. You must shut off modem also. If you want to keep modem on at all times then you must take care to reboot it after 2 AM.

well i have.......the reason y i am saying this coz.....when i woke up at 2.15 .......first thing i did was turning on my modem and then resuming the hibernated system........ look at the upload its high......its only possible with torrent downloads.....which i did after 2.15 am.....this is so sick......tommorow am going to meet the assistant engineer...........i wonder y they r not upgrading their software.......

I fully sympathise. But the problem is you will never be able to prove that you restarted the modem at 2:15.
