Thread: You tube download error

Hi,

While downloading videos from you tube I get the follwoing error :

An existing connection was forcibly closed by remote host.The normally results if the peer application on the remote host is suddenly stopped, the host is rebooted, or the the remote host used a "hard close"

Details :
HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden

I use IDM for download pourposes.The problem is not with all videos but for some.However, this is the first time I have seen this kind of error in you tube download.What should I do..?

Actually the you tube videos are not available to download as they do not give any download link. Thus their server detected that you are downloading their files forcefully.

And the action taken by them is in front of you.

You cannot download from YouTube directly. Use the software called Free Studio Manager 3.1.1.2 to download from YouTube. It is free.

Also if download becomes a problem, turn off IDMs for the time being.

you dont need some special software to download youtube videos.just watch the videos on the site and go to temporary files.there you will find the whole video in Flv format.play nd enjoy

i once get this error while downloading from rapidshare using IDM & a premium account but never again.looks like it's a problem with the server/site you are trying to download maybe because of heavy traffic.

This is true. But the file is never saved with .flv extension. It will have a meaningless name and probably no extension. You can guess it by the size. Once you identified it, copy the file to some other folder and rename it to .flv.

But that is a trial and error method and is cumbersome. Hence I suggested the software.
