with MTU 1492 i cant connect the net.![]()
focus on mode that it should be G.dmt & nothing else.once that is confirmed then only proceed further to other settings.
G.dmt is one of various modes used by modem to connect using phone line.if wrong mode is selected then it will result in incorrect line rates & SNR values.BSNL uses G.dmt & i have seen many users having problems because their mode was ADSL2/2+.
you mean ADSL Configuration.
in my case its "Select the support of line mode" and the value is "NONE".
if you can select value G.dmt then select it but before that what is the model of your modem.also in status/overview tab does mode show different from G.dmt.post screenshots here for full details.
which screen shot i post ?
i am using ZTE zxdsl 831aii
status page & the page where "Select the support of line mode" and the value is "NONE" option is present.
Here is the snapshot:
The overview screen.
The Internet Connection Configuration screen.

Internet-->Disconnect-->Advanced...| Status THEN
In the configuration-->internet-->ADSL
i found the same thing.

try all other options.basic,advanced etc & ADSL/internet line status(should be the last options in left side) etc.see if standard is G.dmt.

& entred my user name & password now i can surf the pages without worry.
:7:But i got company of other problem, now when i connect the net within every
10 minuets i got disconnected.:31::32:
Please help![]()
In PPPoE configuration there is an option to:
- keep the connection always on
or
- close connection after nn minutes of inactivity.
Check that the first option is selected.
in configuration it's ALWAYS ON MODE.
Then it is a line problem.
OK. I am a bit lazy and have not read the previous posts. Make sure you have connection like this:
Line from juncton box --> splitter
From splitter --> voice line --> to all telephones
From splitter --> data line --> to ADSL modem --> to computer
No parallel line before splitter.
In modem status page check SNR Margin and Line Attenuation values. This should be >10db and < 30 db respectively.
Also report the problem to BSNL. Keep bugging them every day till problem is resolved. Make sure you get a complaint number.
